ROLE OVERVIEW:
As an IT Desktop Support Intern, you will be an integral part of the IT support team, helping to ensure the smooth operation of desktop and laptop systems, software, and network services across the organization. You will work closely with experienced IT professionals to provide technical assistance to end-users, resolve hardware and software issues, and contribute to IT projects. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and looking to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced IT environment.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
• Graduate or final year in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common productivity tools.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide first-level technical support to internal users via ticketing system, phone, email, or in person.
• Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, printers, and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Install and update software applications and operating systems.
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and update asset records.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup and equipment provisioning.
• Document technical issues and solutions in the helpdesk system.
• Assist with IT projects and system upgrades as needed.
