PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

As a Financial Controlling Expert within the FP&A team, you will provide advanced financial insights and support across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, cost control, and investment evaluation. You will collaborate closely with operational, technical, and commercial teams to ensure robust financial performance management and high-quality decision support. This role is an expert individual contributor position with no team‑lead responsibilities, requiring strong analytical capability, financial acumen, and business partnering skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Management Reporting & Performance Analysis

• Lead the preparation of monthly and annual performance reports, ensuring clear insights into financial results, KPIs, and business drivers.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis, trend evaluation, and scenario assessments to support senior management in understanding financial performance.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning

• Support the company-wide budgeting and forecasting cycles, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Analyze operational and financial assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.

Cost Controlling & Efficiency Management

• Monitor and analyze operational expenditures (OpEx), identifying cost‑saving opportunities and areas for efficiency improvement.
• Provide proactive insights and recommendations to enhance cost discipline across departments.

Investment & Project Controlling

• Monitor and control the company’s Capex portfolio, ensuring investments are properly evaluated, tracked, and aligned with budget and strategy.
• Work with project managers and technical teams to forecast and track project spending, highlighting deviations and improvement actions.

Commercial Support & Business Case Evaluation

• Partner with commercial teams to evaluate business cases, including revenue opportunities, product initiatives, and partnership proposals.
• Support the commercial organization with pricing analysis, deal reviews, and post‑implementation performance tracking.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience within accounting and/or financial control
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑interpretation skills.
• Strong communication and business partnering abilities, with confidence in working across technical and commercial teams.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
• Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with FP&A tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP) preferred.
