Currently we are looking for an Access Transport Operations Expert!

About the role:

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of CETIN Hungary’s Access and Optical Transport Networks, including DWDM systems, fiber links, IP/MPLS routers, microwave networks, and synchronization infrastructure.
You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure high network availability, maintain service quality, support development activities, and contribute to projects that shape the future of our network operations. This position offers a combination of operational responsibility, technical expertise, project involvement, and continuous learning in a dynamic telecommunications environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Ensure the availability and performance of Access and Optical Transport Networks and related services
Participate in knowledge sharing and technical knowledge transfer activities
Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain network elements, ensuring timely incident resolution
Provision network resources and services, including integration, commissioning, and testing of new network components
Plan, schedule, execute, and coordinate operational, maintenance, and rollout activities
Provide technical support for transport and synchronization network design activities
Participate in automation and digitalization projects and initiatives
Manage assigned projects and coordinate related activities
Cooperate with and manage vendors supporting network operations
Contribute to continuous improvements in network quality and operational performance
Monitor network performance and prepare recommendations supporting operational decisions
Participate in a 24/7 on-call service

What We’re Looking For:

Education & Experience
- B.Sc. degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in Access Transport Network operations
- Experience delivering technical projects and operational activities
- 3+ years of experience in Access Transport Networks is an advantage
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Understanding of Access and Optical Transport Network technologies
- Programming skills are an advantage
- Ability to transfer knowledge and support technical learning within the team
- Strong written and spoken English

- Results-oriented and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work under operational pressure, meet deadlines, and support on-call activities
- Commitment to continuous learning and keeping technical knowledge up to date
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel within the CEE region
- Valid Category B driving licence
