Project Portfolio Delivery Partner

About the role
The Portfolio Delivery Partner should ensure effective execution of Portfolio management processes within a dedicated business vertical or sub-portfolio. Acting as the single point of contact for portfolio-related matters, they serve as caretaker, facilitator, and consultant throughout the Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) process. The role reports to the Company Portfolio Manager, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and governance standards.

 

What we will expect from you: 

  • Governance & Alignment
    • Ensure sub-portfolio content and activities are aligned with enterprise strategy, portfolio goals, and value delivery expectations.
    • Represent sub-portfolio owners in governance forums (e.g., Roadmap Forum, steering committees), providing updates, inputs, and recommendations.
  • Intake & Prioritization
    • Oversee the intake and evaluation of proposed projects, validating business justification and ensuring strategic fit.
    • Coordinate and support prioritization to reflect business needs and enterprise priorities.
    • Manage ad-hoc initiatives and change requests, integrating them into the portfolio structure when appropriate.
  • Delivery Enablement
    • Facilitate the end-to-end project lifecycle of initiatives, supporting project managers and removing delivery bottlenecks.
    • Work closely with Technology SPoCs and business requestors to determine delivery paths and provide consistent portfolio reporting.
    • Support audits, reviews, and reporting as requested by the Company Portfolio Manager.
  • Risk & Value Management
    • Track and escalate risks across the sub-portfolio, coordinating mitigation with governance bodies.
    • Monitor benefits realization to ensure approved initiatives deliver expected outcomes, collaborating with business owners post-implementation.
  • Portfolio Infrastructure & Continuous Improvement
    • Maintain up-to-date documentation (Roadmap, scoring models, KPIs, reports).
    • Oversee and support resource allocation, ensuring capacity conflicts are resolved collaboratively.
    • Identify and promote improvements in portfolio management practices, contributing to the evolution of the PPM framework.

For a good start, you will need:

  • A university degree in Economics, Engineering or Information Technology
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in a relevant industry, with demonstrated exposure to complex project and portfolio environments.
  • A solid track record in Project and Portfolio Management, with hands-on experience in portfolio governance, prioritization, and delivery support.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools; professional certification (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management methodologies and frameworks; formal education or certification in this area is considered a plus.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels.
  • Strong digital proficiency, including advanced use of MS Project, Jira (or similar platforms), Excel, PowerPoint, and other portfolio reporting and collaboration tools.

  • Business acumen and strategic mindset, with the capacity to balance long-term objectives with short-term operational demands.
  • High degree of adaptability and resilience, able to navigate change and ambiguity while maintaining focus on outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain portfolio concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Independent, energetic, and flexible personality with a proactive approach and strong sense of initiative.
