Join our growing Data Science team at the forefront of digital transformation in the telecom industry. We're evolving from traditional on-premise batch workflows to a modern, scalable cloud-native stack on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI.

As a Data Scientist, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and deploying machine learning solutions that deliver tangible business value—from enhancing customer experience and network analysis to developing intelligent systems like virtual assistants using cutting-edge AI technologies.

 What you’ll do:

• Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve real-world telecom challenges (e.g. churn prediction, anomaly detection, demand forecasting).
• Design and implement custom solutions or leverage off-the-shelf AI technologies to address use cases such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), virtual assistants, chatbots, call analytics, OCR, and more.
• Assess emerging technologies in AI space and support democratization of AI in the organization.
• Build and automate pipelines using Vertex AI, BigQuery, and other services
• Analyze large-scale datasets to extract actionable insights.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to apply data-driven solutions to real-world challenges, supporting Yettel’s strategic initiatives through analytical insights and machine learning.
• Work in a collaborative team environment and share knowledge with other data scientists.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Programming & Data Handling: Proficiency in Python and SQL for building data pipelines, models, and end-to-end solutions.
• Data Science & ML Techniques: Strong foundation in statistical modeling, including supervised and unsupervised learning, forecasting, and segmentation.
• Machine Learning Lifecycle: Practical understanding of the full ML lifecycle — from experimentation and training to deployment and monitoring.
• Tool & Library Proficiency: Hands-on experience with libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and other Python-based data science tools.
• Curiosity & Continuous Learning: Passion for exploring emerging technologies and integrating innovative approaches into problem-solving.
• Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Ability to work cross-functionally, support peers, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Clear Communication: Confidence in explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Cloud & MLOps (a plus): Familiarity with platforms like Google Cloud (GCP), Vertex AI, BigQuery, Airflow, and principles of MLOps for scalable ML deployment.
• Version Control & CI/CD (a plus): Knowledge of Git best practices and continuous integration/delivery workflows.
• API Development & Integration (a plus): Experience building applications and integrating APIs using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• Deep Learning & Unstructured Data (a plus): Exposure to deep learning architectures (e.g. CNN, RNN, Transformers) and handling of unstructured datasets.
• NLP & LLMs (a plus): Understanding of Natural Language Processing and experience with Large Language Models, including fine-tuning, RAG, and orchestration frameworks like LangChain.
• Clean Code & Software Principles: Ability to write modular, testable, and maintainable code using object-oriented principles.
• Fluent English Proficiency: Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
