You will have the following responsibilities:

• Lead the design of scalable, secure, and cost-effective Data Lake House (DLH) applications on AWS, so our business can rely on robust and efficient data solutions.
• Oversee the deployment, configuration and management of AWS services, ensuring our infrastructure is stable and supports company growth.
• Apply your deep understanding of IT domains connected to AWS to help teams work together more effectively and deliver impactful results.
• Support the operations team by implementing and maintaining automation tools and alerts for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and stability.
• Optimize cloud applications to achieve better performance and efficiency.
• Ensure the implementation of best practices for security and compliance. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Data Science, BI Development and key stakeholders.
• Drive innovation by exploring new cloud services, technologies and methodologies.
• Shape the long-term vision and application-level domain architecture of DLH, aligning with business and IT strategy priorities.
• Manage the lifecycle and roadmap of AWS components and applications, ensuring they meet evolving business needs. 

You are the ideal candidate for our team if you have/are:

• A college or university degree, or at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a strong AWS focus.
• Deep expertise in AWS services (such as S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• DataOps knowledge, including CI/CD and orchestration tools.
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines and integrating data from diverse sources using SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Understanding of data storage and AI/ML technical requirements on AWS.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• At least 2 years in a technical supervisory role.
• Ability to understand business and IT priorities.
• Strong leadership, communication and knowledge-sharing skills in both Hungarian and English.
• Capability to translate and present complex IT solutions to support management decisions.
• A cloud-agnostic mindset and the ability to apply it in practice.
