We are looking for a #PeopleFirst leader who can fill our corporate strategy with life while also inspiring their own team.
As the new leader of the function / team, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead and develop Yettel’s Digital Design Chapter (UX/UI) as a center of excellence responsible for the company’s digital design strategy, design system, and standards.
- Ensure consistent, accessible user experiences across both app and web platforms, while serving as the trusted design authority across all levels of the organization—from expert teams to C-level executives.
- Develop and own the long-term Digital Design Strategy, including vision, principles, and key user journeys, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Manage the Design System’s foundations, components, and patterns, overseeing versioning and adoption across squads while defining governance and contribution models.
- Establish and enforce standards for usability, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), content design, and interaction quality; ensure design criteria are integral to the Definition of Ready and Done.
- Delivery quality & cross‑project coherence, ensure consistency across multiple projects by promoting pattern reuse, managing dependencies, and controlling design debt across both app and web platforms.
- Foster collaboration with Customer Experience (CX) teams, integrating qualitative and quantitative research, usability testing, and A/B testing insights into backlogs and roadmaps
- People leadership & chapter operations, act as the people manager for the UX/UI Designers, overseeing hiring, onboarding, regular 1:1s, feedback sessions, career development, and performance management.
- Promote an inclusive and safe environment that values diverse perspectives and equitable growth opportunities.
You are the ideal candidate for our team if you have / are:
- Strategic vision and ability to align design initiatives with business priorities.
- Leadership and people management skills, including mentoring and career development.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities across all organizational levels.
- Deep knowledge of UX/UI principles, interaction design, and visual design best practices.
- Proven experience in building and governing scalable design systems.
- Ability to ensure design consistency across web and mobile platforms.
- Analytical & Delivery Skills, data-driven decision-making using research insights, usability testing, and A/B testing.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Miro, etc.
- Familiarity with prototyping, accessibility testing tools, and collaboration platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Solid grasp of how e-commerce platforms operate from a technical perspective, including integration points, checkout flows, and performance optimization.
