Role overview:

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer who will play a key role in defining, implementing and evolving the observability strategy across our cloud-native and Kubernetes platforms. The role is essential in ensuring visibility, performance, and reliability of modern infrastructure through advanced telemetry, monitoring and analytics practices.

Your responsibilities will be:


-Design and implement a modern observability platform for multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
-Integrate metrics, logs, traces, and profiling using tools such as Grafana, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry.
Work with platform and application teams to define SLOs and SLIs, and build actionable dashboards and alerts.
-Drive a culture of operational excellence through visibility, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
-Contribute to infrastructure as code and GitOps practices using Terraform and Helm.
-Collaborate with DevOps, security, and engineering teams to embed observability across the SDLC.
-Document observability architecture, design patterns, and operational procedures.
-Proactively identify optimization opportunities in performance and cost.
-Stay informed on industry trends and introduce best practices in observability and cloud operations.

We expect from you:


-Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes environments at scale.
-Deep understanding of the Grafana Labs ecosystem (Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Mimir) and OpenTelemetry.
-Strong grasp of metrics collection, alerting strategies, distributed tracing and telemetry.
-Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid setups, preferably with AWS or GCP.
-Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
-Ability to ensure system debuggability, reliability, and performance at an enterprise level.
-Excellent skills in documenting architecture and operational procedures.
-Strong communication and collaboration mindset in structured enterprise environments.

Preferred skills:


-Experience with service mesh observability and advanced tracing strategies.
-Cloud certifications (AWS, GCP), Kubernetes or observability tools.
-Expertise in cloud performance tuning and cost optimization strategies.
