The impact you’ll make:

As our AI Engineer, you will be at the very heart of Yettel’s digital transformation, driving our evolution from traditional batch workflows to a modern, scalable, cloud-native ecosystem on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will bridge the gap between advanced machine learning models and tangible, production-ready AI applications that directly enhance our customer experience and optimize core business processes. By designing and building the next generation of AI-driven solutions, you will help shape the future of telecommunications.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, build, and deploy end-to-end, cloud-native AI applications, creating everything from intelligent internal systems to features that enhance customer experience.

  • Implement innovative solutions for diverse use cases, including Agentic Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), virtual assistants, call analytics, and OCR.

  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into clean, scalable technical solutions.

  • Operationalize and integrate AI workflows seamlessly into our core business processes.

  • Serve model predictions efficiently via APIs or Model Context Protocol (MCP) and connect AI capabilities with our wider software ecosystem.

  • Advocate for engineering excellence by promoting software development and operations best practices (such as OOP, automated testing, and modular code) within the team.

 

We expect from you:

  • A solid engineering foundation: Strong experience in a software development or engineering role, paired with practical exposure to AI/ML.

  • Python proficiency: Excellent programming skills in Python and a solid commitment to software development best practices (OOP, testing, modular code design).

  • Cloud & DevOps knowledge: Proven experience working with cloud platforms (with a strong preference for GCP), Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with AI concepts: A clear understanding of RAG/Agentic RAG concepts and experience with frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.

  • A collaborative mindset: A true team player with excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

 

Bonus points if you have:

  • Understanding of modern AI concepts, deep learning architectures, Generative AI principles, and LLM fine-tuning techniques.

  • A solid grasp of the ML lifecycle and experience with MLOps platforms (e.g., Vertex AI) for automated deployment and monitoring.

  • Hands-on experience building production-grade APIs (especially with FastAPI) and utilizing containerization tools like Docker.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.

  • Experience querying and analyzing large-scale datasets using SQL and BigQuery.

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics, or a similar technical discipline.
