The impact you’ll make:
The Agile Coach will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring teams and leadership to adopt and implement Agile practices and frameworks effectively. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement within the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring Agile methodologies are followed to maximize team performance and productivity.
What you’ll do:
- Agile Transformation Leadership:
- Act as a mentor and guide to teams, leaders, and stakeholders on Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and SAFe.
- Lead workshops, training sessions, and coaching activities to improve understanding and implementation of Agile principles and practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop Agile adoption strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and team capabilities.
- Foster a culture of self-organization, empowerment, and accountability within teams.
- Facilitation and Coaching:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement) for teams, ensuring they are efficient and valuable.
- Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members on their Agile roles and responsibilities.
- Provide guidance on resolving obstacles and removing impediments to improve team performance and velocity.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement within teams and processes, providing actionable feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Encourage teams to experiment with new practices and tools to enhance their Agile journey and adapt to changing business needs.
- Collaborate with leadership to measure the impact of Agile practices and make adjustments where necessary.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on Agile initiatives and priorities.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and expectations.
- Agile Tools and Reporting:
- Assist in the selection and implementation of Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, etc.).
- Help teams track progress, create metrics and reports, and make data-driven decisions to enhance team performance.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile principles and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and SAFe, with the ability to tailor approaches to team and organizational needs.
Facilitation & Coaching: Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies, workshops, and team discussions. Skilled in coaching teams and individuals across all organizational levels.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to foster open dialogue, resolve conflicts, and build trust among cross-functional teams.
Adaptability: Able to adjust coaching techniques to suit diverse team dynamics and maturity levels, promoting psychological safety and team empowerment.
Continuous Improvement: Demonstrates a proactive mindset for identifying improvement opportunities and driving change. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Agile Tools Proficiency: Experience working with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Certifications (preferred): Holds or is pursuing relevant Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)).
Work Environment Agility: Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
