The impact you’ll make:

You’ll drive the next wave of digital transformation in the telecom industry by helping us evolve from traditional on-premise batch workflows to a modern, scalable, cloud-native stack on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). By designing, building, and deploying machine learning solutions, you'll deliver tangible business value—from enhancing customer experience to developing intelligent systems like virtual assistants using cutting-edge AI technologies.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve real-world telecom challenges (e.g., churn prediction, anomaly detection, demand forecasting)
• Design and implement custom solutions or leverage off-the-shelf AI technologies for use cases such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), virtual assistants, chatbots, call analytics, and OCR
• Build and automate pipelines using Vertex AI, BigQuery, and other Google Cloud services
• Analyze large-scale datasets to extract actionable insights and support Yettel’s strategic initiatives
• Assess emerging technologies in the AI space and support the democratization of AI across the organization
• Work in a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge with other data scientists and business stakeholders

We expect from you:

• Experience or a degree in data science, applied machine learning, software development, or a similar field
• Demonstrated programming proficiency with Python and SQL
• Knowledge of popular Python data science libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, etc.
• Strong foundation in statistical modeling, including supervised/unsupervised learning, time series, forecasting, segmentation, and hypothesis testing
• Solid understanding of the ML lifecycle — from experimentation to deployment and monitoring
• A curious mindset with a keen interest in exploring new technologies
• Collaborative, team-player attitude
• Fluency in English

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and tools like Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Airflow
• Hands-on experience deploying ML models to production using MLOps principles
• Practical knowledge of deep learning architectures (CNN, RNN, Transformers) and working with unstructured data
• Experience with NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs) including fine-tuning, RAG, and LLM orchestration frameworks like LangChain
• Familiarity with version control best practices (e.g., Git workflows, branching strategies) and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and writing clean, modular, testable code
