Role overview:

The Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer plays a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure to support business operations and project initiatives. This role requires a strategic approach to infrastructure planning, ensuring security, scalability, and performance across multiple platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

 

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Leading Infrastructure stream in projects:
    • Making sure that the project requirements are translated int the right Infrastructure requirements size and design wise.
    • Having the overall management of security and transport requirements related to infrastructure.
    • Follow up implementation of the agreed infrastructure design to make sure that everything is delivered on time according to project milestones.
  • Managing Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Managing the design and deploy robust on-premises and cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Cloud Management: Administer cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to ensure efficient resource allocation, cost management, and performance optimization.
  • infrastracture Administration: Manage third party vendors that are handling  server operations, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of both physical and virtual servers.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Manage backup and disaster recovery plans for both on-premises and cloud environments to ensure business continuity and data integrity.
  • Automation and Scripting: Utilize automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, PowerShell, Bash) to streamline deployments and management processes.
  • Performance Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools to track the performance and health of infrastructure components, analyzing metrics to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure configurations, architectures, and processes. Provide regular status reports to management on infrastructure health and performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure needs into application deployment processes.

 

We expect from you:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Networking & Security: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and cloud security best practices to ensure system reliability and compliance.
  • Virtualization & Containerization: Proficiency with VMware, Hyper-V, Docker, and Kubernetes for scalable infrastructure and application orchestration.
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform and CloudFormation to streamline cloud deployments and improve operational efficiency.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and Ansible for automating software delivery and infrastructure management.
  • System Monitoring & Optimization: Skilled in using monitoring tools to analyze performance, troubleshoot incidents, and enhance system stability.
  • Collaboration & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Preferred Skills:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/Google Cloud certifications, CCNA, MCSE) are a plus.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for automated deployments.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Ansible) is advantageous.
